AARP Senior Planet talk: Air Quality Monitoring by Citizen Scientists

Thank you to the AARP/Senior Planet team for hosting us early in 2025 for an invited talk titled “Air Quality Monitoring by Citizen Scientists“. In this presentation, we discussed our work to help democratize air quality monitoring through our design and development of the Local Haze air quality monitoring app, working to make air quality data accessible to citizen scientists worldwide.

Our presentation had a great turnout, with over 100 people in the audience, and the Q&A after each talk was engaging and thoughtful.

Our AARP/Senior Planet talks were not recorded, but we have now posted the slides and handouts on the Local Haze blog.
